We care about people, the earth, and animals.

We realize that we might not make a gigantic impact in all, or even one, of these areas, but we will make a good chunk of progress in our corner of the world, and that will be carried to other corners by the people we help and the policies and practices that we stick to.

Some examples of how we try to be good global business citizens:

• In order to lessen environmental impact, we purchase candle vessels that are made from 100% recycled glass. For our bi-annual sales, we also go shopping at thrift stores, flea markets, garage sales, and anyone's basement to source the vessels that we use for our handmade candles. We then thoroughly clean and disinfect them until they are like brand new.

• We buy all natural candle and soap making products from a local supplier that is committed to responsible business practices, fair labor policies, and giving back to the community.

• We source other products from smaller suppliers from marginalized populations all over the globe. We like everyone, and we believe that everyone deserves a chance to make it. We want to be a part of that when and where we can.

• We will be donating a percentage of our profits to local animal welfare organizations and care providers starting in 2025.

• We avoid the use of plastic when possible; we recycle; and we re-sell cool clothing and books that would ordinarily end up in landfills and the oceans, where land and sea animals are killed by them every day.

• We pay our workers wages and salaries that are above the norm and provide benefits that make a meaningful impact on their physical, emotional, and spiritual health.
